Today is a lazy day for me,i rested and rested...starting tml,i am working afternoon shifts,3 to 11pm,What worries me is the MRTs.....But looking forward tml to a brand new day,gonna stack myself with cigarettes... XP

They are my energy-giving sticks...Muahaha....So...Yeap this whole week until next saturday,i wun be blogging...

Waa.....finally,a Saturday....today had a function in the GrandBallroom of Hilton Hotel,...Being a Runner !! man,run up and down...WAs Resting with my Baker Chef,John Tan, after everything....Man,u can rarely see a kind and good,hilarous chef like him,who teaches u and jokes at the same time,find myself learning more that way :P

My next week shift is gonna be from 3pm to 11pm.....Monday to Saturday...Again,Sunday off !! Haha....Learn a lot from the Pastry side,Chef Oscar,very patient chef,teaches u things that makes u wanna learn more.. * if u are the type that go for more knowledge like me XP...Haha !!~

So ya,Gonna take my typhoid jab next monday...Before going for work.....Ppl say the arm will this and that la.so ya,gonna see if there is ANy effect on me :)

Hilton Hotel.....Nowadays,i got to know new friends,almost from every department... :) Pastry today was like -------- DEAD....But with Chef John...Bloody hell,disturb me like -----But u know,pastry is not that bad actually,considering,u get some free food.... :)

I wonder if i really can SLIM down from this attachment... Haiz...

Hilton today had a Fire Emergency Drill,Damn fun,as if the drill was like shopping to many chefs XP... After the drill was done,1/4 of the chefs,cooks were smoking togther...haha....of course,i joined them XP

Hilton,name is good,the people there are good too....It depends on how u see it..

Now,for these 2 weeks,i will be Pastry kitchen.....Damn....The things there.....Slow......TOO slow,i want to chiong 1,Chef told me,boy,Pastry is about correct measurements and Quality,if u rush,it will affect the quality.....I know u are a culinary student,but,u know,its good for u to slow down a bit.... -.-''

Mdm Veron told me that Pastry is like this de.every ingredients must be exact not like hot cooking. And you must be paitient with the process..That why people that like fast pace dun like pastry or the cold kitchen,She also describe these 2 kitchens as HELL...Too slow for ppl who likes hot kitchen....Haha

Finally,i finished my 2 weeks at Harbour Grill and oyster bar....2 weeks only and u can oreadi learn a lot,would u imagine if the the time was longer there? u would gain loads of knowledge !!

Tml onwards for the next 2 weeks i will be inside the Pastry kitchen....I can only imagine what is installed there....Pastry....Desserts...Gonna learn smth there.Have to report tml at 9am...So,yeah....2 weeks have passed and i can really ''measure'' whether this carreer is the right choice for me or not.

Today, i started my day as per normal,but after lunch,i fell ill,so ill that i couldn't open up my eyes,then i went to HR ,then i was sent to Island group clinic,then they say i need a form from the hotel,the receiptionist was very kind,told me to rest for a while b4 going back to the hotel to take the form.....Gave me tissue to dry my forehead....Then i went back to Hilton after that,Then i was told to go home and visit my nearest clinic....Damn,i was sick and u ask me to walk up and down under the SUN ???? Heng,i took cab back...... Damn ill.... X.X

Went to the doc's he said,i have to watch over my weight,my high blood pressure has gone up again...Haiz.....I can only rest up now....Bloody me,if not i can ''chiong'' a function of 50 pax at harbour grill....Missed the fun and actions..... The chef was very good told me to rest up and catch up with them on friday...

Haiz...There we go, 1 day off is gone....Tml starts a new week.... heng i ending split shift this Saturday... XP Haiz....


My only advice to the juniors is, if u think that skol is hard,think again,concentrate on all basics in skol...Let me tell u guys this,I.A is not easy,if u see ur classmates who is now,couldn't be bothered, u can ask them not to waste their time in this line.....seriously,skol is nothing compared to the Industry.

Prepare urself to run up and down,left and right.....From walk-in chilllers to walk-in freezers....I am not to demoralise u ppl,but, do take note, if u like to do what u are doing ,it doesn't matter where u do it as long as u enjoy doing it...

Tuna !! Damn fresh right ??


Finally i am back happy blogging !!.... Bloody me....haha...its benn fun working in Hilton hotel,everything is perfect, ya, u know, all these housekeeping thingy....I have been working split shift in Harbour Grill & oyster bar,this restaurant is good i tell u...Tml i have work at 3pm till 10.30pm...haha...its nothing man !! haha...1st time when i hear split shift i was damn shocked...now,hehi am used to split shift,besides,what can u ask for more when u get to lie on OSIM massage chair ?? haha !!


Got know a lot of ppl since the day i came to work,Chef Martin,Chef Phillips,Chef Linda and Alex........Chef Phillips,a former classmate of mdm flora,he is good...1 person can really settle food for hundreds of pax !! and i see it with my own eyes...powerful isn't he?? he is a very paitient guy,willing to teach anyone that wants to learn...haha,playful today as he purposely bumps to my shoulder... -.-''

Having really fun working there,so yup...sometimes,i really wanna punch my buddy's face... -.-''

Phew,finally i prepared myself for my attachment now,tommorrow gotta report at 8.45am...i supposed it will be some sort orientation 1st....


I checked up on the internet just to roughly see each individual restaurants/kitchens...i will be working in....1st stop tml,Harbour Grill and Oyster Bar.Its a open kitchen....Man,can i stay away from the open window? -.-'' I checked up their operation hours...


Monday to Friday : 12pm to 10.30pm
Saturday : 7pm to 10.30pm
Sunday : Closed...


Judging from this I roughly had an idea of my working time.... XP i oso have the pictures of the restaurant...but i can't upload it to blogger....u should have seen the Open window kitchen.... My legs are trembling with nervousness oreadi.... I haven took my typhoid jab yet....hope i can get it arranged in Hilton ... XP

Finally, the last week of the SIA run has finished.....Today was really funny,Mdm Flora actually put Mdm yi ping inside the Warmer !! hahahahaha....Can't help giggling.....Haha...Wa lau,Sir Iggy''disturb'' me only, i dun wanna say how...want to know,ask him....so....eee.....Then he found my weakness.... -.-''

Staff Meal nice hor ?? haha...The Sir Eric from F and B ate 2 portions...haha..since there is a lot though...He told me the pasta not bad,he likes it...Haha !! then he gave me a bottle of orange juice...left a bout 2 thirds full.....


Anyway,i gonna start attachment this coming monday...god...Can't wait to experience the industry...Haiz....Thnx for the good lucks and all...From the juniors and mdm flora... :)

Today i had SIA run as usual.....Haha....actually wanted to prawn with mdm all thses but too bad she fell sick so ya....nvm lor, we can prawn anytime we want after attachment...haha


Today mdm flora intro me to the SIA ppl, wa lau....de ja''vu from the first time....man, i blushed...i think....Really had fun at SIA...how i wish i can work non-stop...but at the same time, i can't wait to experience Hell in Hilton,hopefully, they wun ''torture'' me.... lol...Haiz,kena burn by hot pan then scampi pierced my middle finger... -.-''

Today i went down to Hilton hotel for my appointment letter signing and uniform fitting...The appointment letter was something...man,i read it like over 20 mins.... lol....I cannot elaborate on the signing much,coz,ya noe,policies.....

During the uniform fitting, its was quite ''fun'' lol, as we get to know this auntie called ''auntie nancy'' she worked from the opening of The Hilton hotel singapore till now, wow, i salute her !!
She was a kind lady although her face looks fierce....haha...Then i went back to skol to slack....haha...Wait for the juniors to complete the SIA run..

Attachment shecdule has been assigned to me oreadi....As follows... :

Harbour Grill Kitchen : 6 July to 2 August

Pastry Kitchen : 3 August to 16 August

Cold Kitchen : 17 August to 13 September

Main Kitchen : 14 September to 4 October...(F1 period...YES !! )

Glow Kitchen : 5 October to 18 October

Butcher Shop : 19 October to 8 November

Annual Leave : 9 November to 16 November

Lastly,Checkers Kitchen :17 November to 13 December !!

So yeah, i saw the heaven side of Hilton, but is the ''taker'' able to take The Hell of Hilton ?? ....Stay tuned folks....
